Trips further afield from Krumlov?
All these trips can be comfortably accomplished within a single day:
- Lipno - skiing in the winter (both downhill and cross-country), tourism and water sports in the summer. Lipno lake is the largest water area in the Czech Republic.
- Kleť - a legendary mountain close to Krumlov. Get up on foot or using a retro-style funicular.
- Šumava Mountains - different hiking paths; we recommend a trip to the glacial Plešné Lake
- Linz - a vibrant Upper Austrian metropolis, about 1 hour drive from Krumlov
